Abstract: Assessment of natural and cultivated stands of Trachycarpus
takil in Uttarakhand, India. They are concentrated in three areas and the
populations are under pressure of human activities. T. takil is critically
endangered and some populations are extinct or nearly extinct. Systematic
studies reveal that T. takil is closely related to T. fortunei. - With 28
